Profile: Experience prosecuting and defending in all manner of the more serious criminal cases including conspiracy to rob; rape; importation of drugs and fraud. Grade 3 Prosecutor and Rape List Counsel on CPS London List of Approved Advocates. Also on Attorney General’s Unified List of Advocates for Revenue & Customs, Central Fraud Unit, DBRR and DWP Prosecution work. CPD lecturer on Criminal Justice Act 2003.
Notable Cases:
Operation Feather [2011] – Currently instructed by Central Fraud Unit to prosecute £150,000 VAT fraud case.
R-v- Tourides & Others [2011] - Recently instructed as Prosecution lead counsel in conspiracy to rob case involving gang violence, firearms; drug dealing as well as cell site analysis.
R-v- Ogbodo [2010] – Successfully prosecuted case concerning multiple counts of rape and complainant with personality disorder.
R –v- Ali [2009] – Successfully appealed conviction in a case concerning historic rape allegation.
Operation Sobitol [2008/2009] – Prosecuted largest importation of cocaine on a cruise liner into the United Kingdom. Five defendants sentenced to 12 years imprisonment each.
R-v- Watson & Others [2006] – Defence junior in a multi-handed conspiracy to defraud concerning hundreds of stolen vehicles.
Member of Criminal Bar Association and South East Circuit.
